My Job Hunt Fluffy

jvowles's commentary on retail sales commissions, not to mention Tracy, Steve, and my mom all saying "Wouldn't you be happier working in a bookstore?" I called the guy at J.C. Penney and told him I was delaying my decision a bit. Fortunately he was cool with that, and said I had until Monday to get back to him. Right now the B&N people are trying to get a reference from my old supervisor Althea, so I left a message at her home number asking if it would be okay if they called her there.
The pay at B&N might be a bit less (actually 25 cents more an hour, but without commissions), but it's just a ten minute drive from my house, and I would be more comfortable selling books to people, rather than hawking jewelry which they don't need and I could never afford.
