Good mood gone...
Somedays you can't win. Steve was so intrigued by Tez and Maria's story, he started working on a flashback scene with Tez during his "mad" period, when he was destroying that kingdom. What he wrote was good, but I kinda bristled at him when he suggested we write the next story together. From my POV it's my world (and Peta's, though she seems content to give me attaboys and pretty pictures based on the stuff I write). I want to be able to prove to myself that I can write it all myself, without having to hash it out with six people and engender all the confusion of "who's responsible for what" that that implies.
We talked about it during the car ride home, but I can tell Steve is still down about it. Here he was, with his creative juices flowing for the first time in a dog's age, and I just shot him the hell down. He says he understands. I effectively pulled the same stunt on him when he was working on Kyrie, and he says he's cool without everything, but I don't how much of that is honesty, and how muc hof it is just telling me what I want to hear.
