Well, I can see the legal issue of "passive allowance" as she described it - but I think that this could be easily thwarted by a statement on the site that says knowledge of use does not mean agreement to it or (partial) transfer of ownership of a character / setting / universe etc.

Other than that — I really do not understand her aggravation...
