I have, so far, never been to Otakon. I've wanted to; but there's always something else happening that weekend that keeps me away. This year, I was supposed to be in RI for my mother's birthday (today, 8/8/08) along with all of my other siblings, which is why I couldn't go to Otakon. Of course, that trip ended up getting cancelled since Richard's follow-up doctor's appointment is today, but it's too late to try to make any arrangements for Otakon (and the money's already been allocated elsewhere). Are you going to TCEP in three weeks?

Nope, for pretty much the same reason as Otakon. I can't really justify being out of the house for three days leaving moonshadowed to keep Georgia and Thomas occupied all by herself.

I won't be going to TCEP all weekend. I certainly won't be staying in the hotel, when I live only three miles away. But since I know people who will be there, I'll spend some time there Saturday and/or Sunday afternoon. And in the morning/evening, I'll keep Richard occupied and Q can do what she wants (which, in the mornings at least, will be "sleeping").

If I had been spending the weekend at Otakon, I probably would have brought Richard for at least part of the time, to run around in a cute costume of his own (I wonder if he still fits in the Moogle costume?) Q and Richard were at Shore Leave on Saturday afternoon last year, as Calvin and Hobbes, when I spent most of the weekend there.

Dude,

1: It's not like you don't know one of the people running it (i.e. me)

2: We are a family-friendly con, so moonshadowed and the kids are welcome. Even having a non-gamer/craft area this year.

We can talk more about this tomorrow.

Oh, speaking about tomorrow, I'll be there closer to 6. Giant asked mousecat0 to work a few extra hours. And since she's the newest person (and we could use the $$$), she agreed.
