I seem to be banned from commenting in seawasp's journal. AFAIK I hadn't said anything offensive there, but I'm certainly open to correction if I had.

Seems to be a day for surprise bans. I'm banned from the StarChat IRC server, and have no idea why.

Figured out what happened. LJ in its fine idiocy puts that floating list up whenever your cursor goes over the user icon; I'd tried to click the icon to go to your journal, and apparently it had brought up the icon and put "ban user" under my cursor.

Somehting like that might explain why LJ put someone on my banned list whom I didn't even remember hearing of.

It can be disabled. I shut it off as soon as they created it.
