Cheri's actually female. :) She just has a beard, like most dwarves in the Discworld series.

I know, I know. But to be horribly-Carrotly technical about it, she's cross-species dressing (frilly pink stuff being a human thing. Dwarfs wear *armor*!) rather than cross-gender. :-)

Besides that, I know absolutely *nothing* about forensics...
