For drhoz: "The latest equivalent of Pompeii, in Tez's world. Of course, he had something to do with it."


Tez watched as the acolytes wrapped the iron chains around the sacrifice's wrists. Smiling, he stepped forward and asked her, "Are you frightened, little one?"

She bobbed her head. "Yes, but if it will save the city… I will try to be brave."

"Your sacrifice will bring peace to the land," he assured her.

She started screaming as she was lowered, her feet and ankles blackening as her white gown began to char. "Father stop! Father stop!"

Feed, he urged, as the lava bubbled over the lip and rolled towards the city. There is more blood where that came from.

Well, Bothari doesn't tell young Miles to stay away from Tez for no reason at all in that crossover piece. Monster being able to recognize monster and all that. (Even if Tez is apparently still in a sane time during that piece)

This is Tez, with no moral brakes to stop him. Suffice it to say that...

1) Maria's ignorance of his history is indeed bliss.

2) There's a damned good reason he doesn't mind being ekpt on her leash.
