"There's a hole in my dryer."
"In the drum? I can fix that, but it might be cheaper to just get a new dryer."
"No, I mean a hole. One that goes somewhere else"
When he arrived he found a dryer in an ice cold basement, the door crumpled inward from the pressure differential as air was drawn into pure vacuum. He hustled the housewife quickly out, set a ward on the door, and started calling numbers.
Somewhere in deep space, there was being millions of years old, with an incalculable number of limbs, all of them with cold feet.

(You do have to wonder how many poor sods either died horribly or were recruited because they came to fix the Wrong Appliance at the Wrong Time.)
