"I didn't think a pumpkin rind could survive reentry," Prince Tom said, poking at what was left of the shuttle.
"It wasn't a pumpkin at the time," she replied, putting her few belonging into her pack.
"Want your shoe back?" He waved the nanoweave slipper.
"Keep it."
"So, you want to go back to my station?"
"Nope."
"But I thought..."
"So did I." She hitched the pack over her shoulder. "Look you're a nice guy."
"Ow."
"Sorry. But the universe is a lot bigger than I thought it was when I started this. And I want to see it all."
