It wasn’t that a bleeding man had shown up at his door at 2am in the morning. He was a doctor, that happened sometimes. It was that it was a bleeding man wearing his face.
First things first though. “Lay down. I’ll call an ambulance.” He opened the closet door to get his emergency kit.
“No hospitals,” the other him croaked. “Too complicated.”
He started cutting away the man’s shirt. “What's going on?”
“Do you know a Dr. Waverly?”
“Yeah, that crank who said that… Oh, God. He was right?”
“Yes, and some people aren’t happy about that. Prepare yourself.”
