Sinking now on Deviantart
Jan. 31st, 2005 09:01 amI've finished editing Sinking to add in HTML coding, and have divided the story into two large chunks, the first part of which is viewable on Devinantart here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/14695023/
Part Two will be posted as soon as Deviantart starts talking to me again. :)
For an explanation of what In Nomine is all about, here's the official site at Steve Jackson Games: http://www.sjgames.com/in-nomine/
For a more in-depth explanation, Harukami has helpfully put together "In Nomine for Dummies", which is viewable here: http://haru_in.tripod.com/INforDummies.html
Edit
Parts Two and Three (it's a really long story) are now up.

As for story links, there's nothing direct. The inspiration came from events that occured in LiveJournal RPG called "In Nomine Ludi" where I played Christopher, and as mentioned in the beginning managed to piss off almost every other angel on the board through a combination of roleplaying and just plain bad decisions on my part as a player. It's also where the concept of the Grigori Hunts were developed, with David's player (after being confronted with the evidence) saying something to the effect of, "Gee, obviously my servitors were acting without my permission. Real shame that. Have talk them about it, one of these days."
Druiel's background (and the original writeups for Christopher and Fluerity) is covered in the In Nomine supplement "Night Music". Basically it describes the city of Austin, TX, which has become something of a neutral zone for demons and angels, both agreeing more or less to leave each other alone. Which translates to some demons taking the opportunity to be less evil than their bosses expect them to be, and some angels like Druiel twisting their Words beyond recognition.
Mind you, it wasn't a very good supplement (no explanation was given for Druiel's service to the Sword forinstance) but there were some intriguing ideas within.
As for future stories... Well, we'll have to see. :) In the meantime, if the world of In Nomine intrigues you further, I strongly advise yo to look at the stories on Harukami's site, as well Moe Lane's here: http://www.stormloader.com/users/moelane/innomine.html They are both very good at fleshing out the world of IN, and the stories ar ae nice range of light to dark.
