Hey kids! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to drive a firetruck? Well, we’re not real firemen, but the real firemen are going to let us pretend for the day, so we can show you all the neat equipment they use! Come on, let’s have a Wheel Adventure!

Mark and Becky (they rarely use their Celestial monikers unless they’re Upstairs, which isn’t often these days), are one of the blessed few bright spots in demon controlled LA. Well, technically speaking they’re one of the few bright spots in Marin County, but that’s closer that most angels care to tread nowadays. Together, they produce, write, film, star in, edit, and distribute the Wheel Adventures line of DVDs, a minor company in the realm of educational kidvid.

The project came about when Mark got the bright idea of entering the kid video market, about the time that the DVD revolution was starting to take off. In a previous Role, he’d been the star of a local UHF children’s show, which died a slow painful death thanks to the increasing influence Nybbas and the commercialization of timeslots that used to be used for educational programming. But with cheap DVD’s coming to the market, Mark saw the opportunity to re-enter the realm of children’s TV, in a sufficiently low key manner that it might slip under the Horde’s radar. Christopher saw merit in this, and hooked him up with Becky, one of his Ofanum with a knack at video production, and a remarkably eclectic number of vehicle related skills.

Wheel Adventures follows a simple formula. Focus on one type of vehicle (firetruck, ambulance, police car, 18-wheeler, rescue helicopter, ect.), and have Mark and Becky play pretend with the real vehicle operators, following them around as they do their jobs, and engaging in a bit of non-hazardous slapstick along the way. Becky does most of the driving, while Mark's in-character overenthusiam for getting involved in what ever is happening triggers most of the slapstick. Naturally everything they say is factual (though Mark can get away with quite a bit by prefacing statements with “let’s pretend”), and the real focus is on the ordinary human heroes that operate these remarkable machines. It’s educational, it’s non-violent, it’s fun, and Christopher loves it to death.

Sales are in the toilet too, but hey, at least they’re trying.
