Sweat and cats
Jun. 6th, 2005 04:32 pmSoooo... Maxx decided to go missing yesterday afternoon. In the evening I realized we hadn't seen him since Steve had left to pick up his mother. A top to bottom search of the house failed to turn him up, so around 9:30 pm I make a circuit of the nieghborhood shining a flashlight into all the bushes. What was worse is that he was overdue for insulin shock, so I had visions in my head of him staggering along to either get shmushed by a car or made into fox bait.
1:30 am Tracy finally comes to bed, still worried about Max. I can't sleep after she inadvertantly wakes me up, so I make more pass through Steve's roo, hauling out boxs from under his bed that I "know" Maxx couldn't possibly hide behind...
The furry little sh*t had been there since noon... (grr)
So I give up on sleep at that point and give him his shot in the morning. Which means by the time I get to work I've had a grand total of 4 hours of sleep. Only to make the discoverey that two of my building's four A/C units conked out over the weekend. Needless to say I've been drinking a LOT of caffinated soda today.
