Ze weekend, she was busy, no?
Jun. 27th, 2005 04:34 pmFriday: Hit the State Criminal Records Division in the morning to get fingerprinted to prove I don't have any sort of record. Came to work for a grand total of an hour and a half before I headed down to Fairfax Station to attend my niece's graduation (congrats Erica!) Drive down wasn't too bad, but heading back I was stuck on the Beltway for literally TWO HOURS. And this was after I'd lit out of the ceremony the moment Erica crossed the stage at 3:45. Sheesh!
Saturday: Went to the post office to apply for my passport (thank you oh so f*cking much 9/11) which took an hour. Then Tracy and dragged Steve over to the Immigration Services offices in Wheaton so I could be fingerprinted by them. Once that was done I had just enough time to drag a load of debris to the dump before it closed, so now our basement and backyard look semi-decent.
Sunday: Went to give moral support to Tracy as she turned herself into WW, and spent an hour chasing Tom around the parking lot while she finished. Then I watched Tom in the afternoon while she got herself nice and deppressed attending her niece's bridal shower.
Tonight: See if the bookcase in the basement will fit into the trunk of my car and then drag it to Goodwill.
Further Out: Try and write something nice for Peta, since she seems to have hit the point of Overwork and Overstressed. I'd finish the next Tez & Maria story for her, but I'm so far behind on Unforseen Consequences it's not even funny. I've got most of the plot in my head, but I know the plot is f*cking weak and I can't see how to fix it no matter how I go over it.
Any more volunteers for Beta reading?
