Coming down into the basement this morning, my feet went out from under me and I bounced on my tailbone for the last three steps. And I volunteered to help chaperone Thomas' class on a field trip to the petting farm today.

Attack of the no sleepies

I stayed out until about 9:15 pm last night, watching "Otaku no Video" over at Jim's place. Went straight to bed and ended up waking up at 2:30 am for no reason that I could fathom, and couldn't get back to sleep.

Major suckage.

OTOH Watching the show with Jim was fun, since we haven't been able to hook up for about a month. It's the semi-true tale of the origins of Gainax, makers of Evangelion and Furi Kuri, focusing on one innocent college student's seduction by the world of manga and anime. It's rather nice to know that Japan has its fan geeks, and that they take themselves about as seriously (or not) as we do in the USA.

It's a Tuesday that feels like a Monday

Survived the field trip, barely. Thomas was not particularly amiable towards the whole waiting in a line thing to pet the animals, being barely 2 1/4. Plus I was stupid and left his jacket on him, even though it was unseasonably hot today, so he was doubly cranky. OTOH he did enjoy the hayride, and hunting down his very own pumpkin.

But Ghod did carrying him around when he refused to walk *hurt*. I ended up passing him off to one of the teachers while I popped my shoulder back into place. I couldn't find any bloody Alleve in the house, and my shoulder and back are aching something terrible. That on top of feeling tired from waking up too early are really throwing me. Tracy is working this evening, and I'm not looking forward to watching Thomas when I get home. I'm hoping he conks out early, given all the fresh air he got today, and lets Daddy take a warm bath and collapse into bed.
