Thomas decided to wake up at 2:30 in the bloody morning this morning. Our soymilk maker broke down over the weekend, and we've had to use commercial soymilk while the replacement is shipped to use, and Thomas doesn't care for it at all. The practical upshot is that he doesn't like his evening cup of milk, which means he goes to bed on an empty stomach, hence the case of the wakies.
So anyway, I end up taking Thomas downstairs, and Tracy ends up waking up at about 4 or so because of a breakout of hives. The only good thing that happened is that since she was up anyway, she found a recipe on the Net for handmade soymilk, which she cooked up while I distracted Thomas from the nice hot stove.
Tracy was so exausted (she typically goes to bed at midnight, while I at least went to bed at 8 pm) that she just took the day off, which was the smart thing to do. I'm so short of sick leave I just went into work to sleep at my desk.
