Post-Christmas Post
Dec. 29th, 2003 03:43 pmManaged to survive the holiday season once again. It was pretty much a low key event this year. We exchanged presents at home (I gave Tracy a "Sims" add-on and a tofu maker kit, she gave me a G-SCALE Christmas train, Thomas got a nifty ball drop tower and a "Perpetual pounder" toy) and then went to her mother's for the afternoon. Normally this would be a ridiculous event, as Tracy's mom tends to believe that it just isn't Christmas unless Thomas gets enough toys to need two car trips to haul it home. Fortunately (or not) Tracy's brother and his family were all sick, so they had to postpone the gift exchange until New Year's, so the visit was much quieter than it usually is.
All in all a pretty good time was had by all. The only thing I'm dreading is triaging Thomas' toybox and seeing what we'll send to Goodwill.
