Well, Thomas is finally on the mend. After a week of tempetures running from 100 to 104, the doctor finally perscribed an antibiotic and that seems to have been what he needed to finally kick this thing. Today he and Tracy went on a field-trip with his day-care class to see Disney on Ice, which he enjoyed (at least the bits he didn't sleep through.) I went to his bi-monthly parent-techer conference, which was midly encouraging. His progress is slow, but he is making progress, and gradually making connections to abstract ideas and the skill at articulating what others are doing. He still isn't really intiating play with the other kids, but he doesn't object to being placed with another child to share play, and he enjoys group activities where he can model off the other kids for appropriate responses.
Meanwhile, I've gotten back on track with Damsels and Dragons. With luck in the next day or so I'll hit Strip #48, which would be my six-months worth of strips milestone.
Now if I could just figure out how to get back to sleep when I wake up at 1 or 2 in the morning...
