Tuesday, 4:30 pm: Printer sends request for map missing from their info for the directory print. Total estimated missing to be 500+.

4:35 pm: Royce has a panic attack, convinced that A) He screwed up, and B) He is SO fired.

5:00 pm: Go home to pick up The Boy from daycare. Leave Steve to clean up after him.

5:15 pm: Discover that left house keys on desk at work. Scream obsenities.

6:00 pm: Pick up boy, swing by Tracy's library to get her keys. Cry into her shoulder in frustration.

Wendsday 2:00 AM: Wake up. Can't get back to sleep.

7:00 am: Arrive at work. Start hunting up maps that Steve couldn't find.

11:30 am: Skip lunch, keep working.

3:00 pm: All maps that can be dug up from the archives are found and burned onto discs for express mailing. Estimate we're still missing 30+ maps, which will have to be done in an emergency request to our cartographer. An expensive emergency request. Royce is still SO FIRED.

3:30 pm: Printer send revised report. The CORRECT report. Only two maps are missing. One of which shouldn't have been in the directory anyway. Entire day has been wasted.

3:31 to 5 pm: Royce giggles his head off in relief, in lieu of screaming.

Okay, apparently Amazon has too much time on it's hands. They've implemented a couple of new features in their listings on their books. The first is Statistically Improbable Phrases, phrases that show up an unusual number of times in a novel, but when comprared in aggregate to it's peers are relatively rare.

Forex: LMB's Paladin of Souls contains the following SIPs:
dowager royina, castle warder, parley officer, spiritual conductor, courier girl, courier station, demon light, fifth god, her inner vision, demon magic, baggage mules, red stallion, sewing woman, her stirrups, grinned briefly, court mourning, her demon.

They've also implemented a few other fun text toys, included the 100 most commonly used words (excluding "the"), Fog, Fleish, and Fleish-Kincaid indexes, and statistics on who many words per dollar and per ounce you would be paying for the book.
