Conversation yesterday between myself and Tracy:


Tracy: I decided to draw pirates for the mural in China Girl's nursery. But then I couldn't figure out how to include stuff for girls, until I decided to put in mermaids.

Royce: Girls can be pirates too.

Tracy: Well yeah, but I still want to draw mermaids.

Royce: Will they be Ninja Mermaids?

Tracy: Why would they be... Pauses, glares at me. There's no such thing as Ninja Mermaids.

Royce: Well how would you know, have you ever seen a mermaid?

Tracy: No.

Royce: Of course not. Hello! Ninjas!

Fortunately she was laughing too hard to hit me.

This is called a "Nightmare Scenario"

Talking with Tracy again (after she finished laughing over the Pirate vs. Ninja Mermaid thing) and we discussed the announced next expansion of World of Warcrack.

1. It's time to shake things up and create a new faction to counterbalance the Alliance and the Horde. Create an enemy they can oppose and unite against.

2. It should be a race that everyone is familiar with, and can be guaranteed to oppose.

3. The Murloc Faction!

And just to keep things lively, they'd be automatically in PvP mode all the time. So of course the only way to survive would be to hang together in large groups and swarm other PC's whenever they appeared.

Dear God, it's beautiful. Why didn't I think of this before?
