Dec. 26th, 2007 08:56 amAs always, the holidays at our place tended to be a mix of running around like lunatics and being utter sloths. Saturday we drove through the Symphony of Lights at Merriweather Post Pavilion, which was great fun.
Sunday
moonshadowed was crazy enough to brave the mall to do some last minute shopping (at noon no less!). Fortunately she found a parking spot in five minutes and only had to hit one store. That evening we took Thomas over to the Santa Trolley Ride at the National Capitol Trolley Museum, which he really enjoyed. For once they had a diffent model trolley running (a yellow model that was imported from the Netherlands judging from the web addess on the signage it wore) but we didn't get a chance to go on that one, instead taking the same ex-Montreal unit that we always did before.
Christmas Eve we were lazy slugs, just taking turns wrapping presents while Tracy also divided her time between playing Warcrack and setting up a huge pot of chili on the crock pot for dinner.
Christmas Day we opened prezzies at home, then hustled over to Tracy's mom's place, so we could see her brother Dave's kids before they had to go over to their mother's for the rest of the day. Had a little excitment when Tracy's uncle called to report her grandmother (who has Alzheimer's) wandered away from her house without a coat on, but they found that she'd just gone over to visit her neighbor next door. It was really hectic, but Tom conked out on the drive home aroudn 3pm and wasn't about to be woken up, so we let him sleep and Daddy got a chance to play Portal (which is the most evil/funny game I've played in quite a while.)
Loot Haul
The Orange Box
GURPS Martial Arts
Phillips 2gig MP3 player (already full!)
Dress socks (sign that you've reached adulthood: When you think this is a good present)
Gift cards for Chili's and Shell Gas
