Of course in 1950 even Walt Disney's Man in Space television specials hadn't aired yet, so the moviegoing public had little idea what spaceflight would actually be like. So Destination Moon got a little help Walter Lantz's Woody Woodpecker, in a promotional film comissioned by the movie's fictional Big Corporate Backer.
