Christmas Report
Dec. 27th, 2005 09:09 amShort Version:
Friday: Tom was still sick, so we didn't go to Grandma Day's as planned. I talked to Mom and we agreed to do it some time next week.
Saturday: Tom was fine, aside from going stir crazy because we wouldn't let him go outside. In the afternoon Tracy started feeling fluish, and went down for a nap at 2:30, waking up at 6:30.
Sunday: Tom and I leave Tracy at home, and head up to her brother's to do the gift exchange thing. Tom got waaaaaaay too many toys (we're going to have triage the old ones to see what gets sent to Goodwill). He got a bit overstimulated, but calmed down on the ride home.
Monday: Mom calls, and we decide to come over and exchange gifts with her before I come down with the plague next. Had a good time, even if Tom kept wanting to play with the delicate bits of her Snow Village.
The Haul:
Tom: Two sets of sweat pants and jackets. One set of PJ's. Two sets of regular clothes. One set of NASCAR Underoos. One big German Recycling Truck toy. Electronic learning drum. One read-along electronic book, several other trucks, plus this year's HESS truck.
Me: Gargoyles Season One, $20 gift card to Borders, MST3K The Essentials ("Manos: The Hands of Fate, and "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians", plus the MST3K "Poopie" [gag reel]), MST3K Collection One ("The Creeping Terror", "Sidehackers" and a couple of others), Kingdom Hearts and We (heart) Katamari for the PS2, Civ IV, plus a cardigan and a turtleneck shirt.
