Y'know, as much as I dislike the Wheel of Time series, I will not begrudge him the right to create thrity more books, rather than face a nasty death by blood disease.

omigod. I actually *do* like the wheel of time series, at least, the first few, and we (hubby and I) have been dragging our butts through the last few just cuz, hoping for more resolution. I just have this need to see it out to the end, and now I might not. Plus, of course, the hideousness of what the writer's going through... no, not even a man who writes conan stories deserves this.
