Spin Recovery Character Sketch

jeriendhalMy muse is being stubborn this week. Just trying to kickstart it for the next scene.
Name: Professora Dame Dorathea, AKA Dottie, AKA "Dotty Aunt Dottie"
Race: Vulpine
Age: Early 60's
Gender: Female
Height: 5'6" (tall for a Vulpine)
Weight: 130 lbs.
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Sandy blond pelt, same as Rufus.
Notable Features: Wears an anachronistic pence-nez with smoked lenses on her nose when working outdoors, instead of light-sensitive contacts or corneal modification. When Rufus meets her she's also wearing practical working clothes and a reed sun hat with a flower print band.
Family Connections: Rufus' aunt from his late father's side, second or third daughter of his paternal grandparents (ie: She's not in line to inherit anything of signifigance.) Probably unmarried (Query to Peta: Would that be considered mildly scandalous, given the decimation of the Vulpine during the Bloody Plagues?)
Background: Free from any signifigant obligation to her family, Dottie has pursued a life in academia, becoming a noted lecturer and field archeologist. By the standards of the Brushtail clan she's considered a free thinking eccentric (if she'd been born 700 years earlier she'd have gotten along famously with Amelia Peabody.) Rufus was inspired by her example to go off into space for the free faring life of a mercenary pilot.
Obviously this didn't work out very well...
