The air conditioning died at work yesterday afternoon and it still isn't fixed. I work in downtown Baltimore, on the third floor of a badly insulated building. It's already at least 85 degrees in here and I'm sitting in the dark with the shades down and the lights off.

Ouch! Good luck with your day!

Oh, I should mention my nuclear option for getting building A/C fixed - having an ambulance come take someone away for heat exhaustion / heat stroke will get things taken care of really fast. Something about Workers Comp, having to explain things to the insurance company, stuff like that. Oh, and if your company is of the appropriate type, it shows up on this regular report to the Feds.

Heh. I don't think it's going to come to that. Building Maintenence was here earlier and there's air coming out of the vents now. I think it's getter cooler, it was so hot in here in the first place it's going to take a while to cool it down signifigantly.

OTOH if it doesn't, we do have a woman who suffers from asthma working here...

Oh dear! Maybe a family trip to the pool after you get home would be an ideal way to end the day.. I'd even give you the slightly easier task of watching miss G in the baby pool. ;) Unless you think keeping Thom from swallowing a gallon of pool water would be easier. lol
