Fic idea: Marty and the Lost Tribe

jeriendhalJust jotting a few ideas down before I forget. Still working on "The Last Story" which is rolling along nicely. Should make people cry. :) But while I was zoning out between calls this idea popped in my head.
Setting: The Terinu universe, post "Found and Lost"
POV: Marty's sister, Jessiver
Outline
1. Jess and Marty arrive at a Varn controlled agro world, hidden in a cargo cotainer. The rebelllion is making open strikes elsewhere, but this world is controlled by the Varn, with a large vulpine population.
2. Jess meets [guy], male vulpine who leads a small resistance cell. Escorts them to quarters. Jess explains they're there to inspire the local population. [guy] tells them that's a tough order. Local population indotrinated HARD that the Holy Den Mother is "primitive" base superstition. [guy] espresses atheist tendencies, but he's willing to let them try to get the population riled up for the sake sticking it to the wise masters.
3. Marty tells [guy] to take them a different route to their quarters. [guy] objects, Jess overrides him, tells him to trust Marty. They divert, [guy] gets word from another resistence member that SoHarm had set up a random checkpoint ahead of where they would have been, [guy] is suitably creeped out by Marty's abilities.
4. Get to quarters. Debate on whether to meet with several small gatherings of potential believers or one big group. Conclusion: One big group meeting minimizes chances of SoHarm twigging to something wierd going on.
5. Jess tries to blend in while babysittingRain Man Marty. Some color about life under Dominion rule. Perhaps starts to fall for [guy] a bit.
6. The Meeting: Big gathering of agro workers and quit a few military officers from the local base. Marty starts preaching, stokig the fire of belief. But he stops halfway through and tells everyone to scatter, SoHarm is coming!
&. Everyone scatters. [guy] leads Jess and Marrty away from the others. Then he pulls a weapon on Marty, telling them that SoHarm was tracking them from the pattern of their visits to other worlds. [guy's] sister was picked by SoHarm, he turned traitor to try and get her released from the reeducation camp where she's being held.
plot needs to be firmed up from here. Either Marty talks him down from calling in the SoHarm agents, or Jess and he (and [guy], who was doublecrossed of course) are all arreted and must find a way to escape. Probably ends either way with a heroic sacrifice so Marty and Jess get away. Not sure if I want a scene where Jess is interrogated by a Varn telepath (maybe Dream Stalker, probably another Varn) and must resist to keep her brother safe.
