My best friend played trumpet in our highschool orchestra. He used to goof around and play things like this and Star Trek 'action' music. He was quite talented.

That is, I swear, the only TV theme song that gives me chills every time I hear it. I'd loved to have heard that live, or at least a better recording.

At the anime karaoke event at an anime convention I was at a few years ago one person sang the Star Blazers theme.

A capella.

Then, someone in the audience called out "now do it in Japanese!"

And he did.

Interesting choice. I wonder who did the arrangement.... It sounds like they ran through it three times.

Still, it's good piece of music. Imagine a marching band playing it....

They could have cut a minute off the beginning of the vid.
