Just finishing editing Unexpected Diversions so I can upload it to Lulu. It's a completed project that just needs some tweaking, not a massive WIP like The Ship. It's a goal I could finish in a week if I buckle down, what's required is an editing pen and some very basic typesetting. Doable if I don't procrastinate.

I just get so damned tired of going halfway and giving up.

otherwise, you will never do anything.

I used to believe what my mom told me (long, painful story) that I could not do so many of the things I wanted to do - I later found out it was because she didn't want me to be able to do what she failed at.

So Jim helped put me through the training and I worked in medicine as a surgical assistant until my legs decided they'd had enough - and I was fought over by staff to see who would have me with them on certain days.

I could have been doing medicine years earlier, could have had my RN like the Aunt (my dad's sister) who I resemble most - but I listened to the negative instead of the encouragement.

You are a very talented writer - truly, I love your work and not just because there is some mention in some of it of things that call to what's in the back of my twisted psyche.

You have a cheering section - anytime you start flagging, just let the cheerleaders know.

What advice would you give a first time Lulu user? I have a project I've set for myself for this summer, which I mention here partially so that, having semi-announced it, I will find it harder to blow off.

you have a great deal of talent. don't give up, don't go halfway and think you quit. instead.....put things away to age, like a fine wine, and get them out again.

But if you finish it in a week, what's a week, luv? That's a 12 pack and a couple of Subway sandwiches!

What advice do you need exactly? Printing with Lulu is dirt simple, at least for text. If you're thinking about printing up comics of your webcomics, you might want to contact [livejournal.com profile] ksleet about his experience putting A Miracle of Science together for publication.

Now, marketing products on Lulu is a whole 'nother kettle of fish, which I have yet to do successfully. Of the one product I've thus far put out pubically, I think I've sold a grand total of a half-dozen copies over four years or so.
