Gacked from... someone... Sorry, can't remember.
Da Rulez: Post the first lines from the last twenty-five fanfics you've written. See if you can spot a pattern.
1. Evita sat crosslegged on her toy box as her best friend Willy happily told her about all the fantastic things the red-haired, freckled girl had done today.
2. “Let’s see. Stick the rod into the top thingie, then ya gotta bend it over and slip the other end through the grommet at the bottom.”
3. Leeza did her best to glare at the short, wiry muscled woman with slightly modded points to her ears and steel grey hair drawn back into a ponytail.
4. Lili woke up in darkness, the oxygen mask still over her face, the quiet whine of the mini-doc’s autoinjector fading in her ears as it finished pumping the revival drugs in her veins.
5. Leader Desslok sat back on his throne, a glass of wine in his hand, and watched as the prisoners were marched into the chamber.
6. Tai Lung hung in his cell, suspended by stout chains, a hundred acupuncture needles in his back, paralyzed, and considered his fate.
7. "Thank you both for coming," Zuko greeted as Sokka and Kitara entered his throne room. "I could use your help right now."
8. “Where are you two going?” Terinu demanded, when he spotted Rufus and Melika slipping their coats on.
9. “Well, that was one of the stranger dinner parties we’ve ever attended,” Rolas said to his wife Melika, as they seated themselves in the back of their skimmer.
10. He was dead.
11. The fog of transporter sparkles faded away and Wesley looked around the compact interior of the subspace communications relay station.
12. Holed up in the cul de sac of the corridor junction, now with three of the exits blocked off due to damage to Black Mesa’s crumbling infrastructure, Gordon knelt behind an impromptu concrete barrier, reloading his MP5 clip as quickly as he could from the box of ammunition he’d found earlier.
13. I am in love with a crazy person, Hazel thought.
14. “Growf?”
15. The problem was they never fragging planned these things, Terinu thought.
16. "Milord!" the first mate, Lt. Hotclaw, said, his hand pressed to the com at his ear. "Engineering has been taken by the pirates!"
17. “’We need a lead on finding the Galapagos. We’ll see if any pirates spotted them,’ you said. ‘It’ll be easy as cake,” you said!”
17. “Are you sure she won’t bother him?” Meriven’s mother asked Grandma Zaza.
19. Jake turned over on his mattress, sitting on the extruded plastic cot that was formed out of the plastic walls of his cell, staring up at the grating of the guards’ catwalk above his cell.
20. It was at times such as this, when the Gene Mage found himself very glad to have created the Galapados.
21. Fraggin’ featherheads.
22. Stashashin jogged down the prison's hallway, rifle held forward at her hip, the rest of her ad-hoc squad of Vulpine commandos following her lead.
23. Terinu sat on the edge of his best friend Matt’s bunk, looking up at the human boy with wide green eyes, his horns up, his tail twitching with excitement.
24. Maybe he was just grasping at straws, Benjamin thought, but if there was any indication that Martians were still fundamentally human in their minds, it was the fact that they could still produce crappy art and be proud of it.
25. The sound of loud squawking, like a noisy but incomprehensible family argument, awakened Rufus.
