jeriendhalJust for kicks, I Googled the theme for the mid-80's series "Airwolf", starring alcoholic wife-beater Jan Michael-Vincent, and Ernest "McHale's Navy" Borgnine earlier this week.
Big Mistake.
That damned theme song has been stuck in my brain for three days now. Made worse because I know it's for a show that only had one good season. [1] I've got fanfics running through my brain to update the silly thing for the Transhuman Space universe. I'm trying to design Airwolf for the GURPS Vehicle system (hint: It's just a really fast gyrocopter). I'm thinking I'd look really, really cool in a white suit and with a silver headed walking stick.
Help me.
[1] Season One: Cool scripts, JMV mostly sober. Season Two: Scripts get watered down to remove the international angle, JMV starts drinking again, and they introduce Caitlin (yech). Season Three: Bellisario washes his hands of the thing, JMV drops completely off the wagon, the scripts drop into the toliet.
Season Four: Drop all the original actors and characters, move the production to Vancouver, and makes *all* the air battles stock footage from the first three seasons. Despite this, it still doesn't suck as badly as Season Three, and I'm perversely fond of it.
