Re: Garvin as the best friend. I was actually hoping you'd not say Tez, since he is, as you say, her lover. A lot of people here seem to say that their boy/girlfriends are their best friends, though, which I think is unfair and also obvious. This gave me more information. So yay!

Re: biggest regret. Wait, wasn't Swan one of their children? Or do I remember wrong? I seem to recall that name among the children Tez lists to his last surviving daughter in her death fic (I read it a few days ago on DA =D ). I could be utterly wrong though and probably need to buy your book.

Re: biggest insecurity. D'aaaawwwwww! Maria, you're BETTER than human. We generally suck quite a bit anyway.

Yep. Swan was one of her daughters. The one Tez specifically mentioned "Whom we don't speak of." I have no idea what she did, but it's safe to assume it was pretty nasty, even by Tez's standards.
