jeriendhalPioneer One is a web based sci-fi drama supported by donations. According to their website the opening episode cost about $6,000. In terms of quality, the special effects are minimal and the acting is a little dodgy, but it's filmed with a nice atmosphere of mystery about it. I'd say it's equal to perhaps a mid-80's BBC production. :) Give it a shot, and donate if you'd like to see more.
