The Great Raid(2005): Wasn't, really. There seriously ought to be a law against scriptwriters shoehorning romantic subplots onto historical events

Micheal Palin's Pole to Pole: In which our intrepid Pythonian visits Russia literally days before Gorbachaov is overthrown, the Sudan before it utterly collapses under inept leadership, and South Africa shortly after apartied is abolished, and only proves that he's a condescending colonialist git.

Interesting snapshot of the world at a certain time period, but if I had to listen to him go on about What the British Built In Africa one more time I was going to strangle the bastard.
