He's working a live-action/motion capture animation version of Herge's comics classic The Adventures of Tintin

The stills released from the project are, er... interesting.

On the one hand, I really dig the look of the stills. On the other hand, there is nothing at all about the look of those stills that says "Tintin" to me.

Be thankful you haven't seen the picture of Captain Haddock. Apparently they're adapting "The Secret of the Unicorn".

Considering how the estate has treated fans and everyone else over the years, I'm ambivalent.
However, as much as I would love a feature length cartoon in the original style, the stills do look like they are at least keeping the style of character and so on. It could be good.

To be brutally honest though, I hope everyone pirates it.
