Took yesterday off as well. Went to MInute Clinic and got a diagnosis of The Flu (big surprise) and told to drink more fluids, eat more food and take Motrin and Tamiflu. Got the Motrin but skipped the Tamiflu, since I was feeling better than I had in two days once I actually GOT to the clinic, and my fever was a nominal 98.8. Also, after two days loss of work I couldn't afford the $70 for the Tamiflu.

So this morning I wake up with a sore back and a completely stuffed up face and a hacking cough. And I have to go to work anyway now, since I can't lose more money.

Agh.

See if your drugstore or closest natural market carries Oscillococcinum. Take it as directed. It will knock the flu clean out of the park.

I am of the firm belief that employers who do not enable their employees to stay home when they're truly sick deserve for their entire staff to go down with whatever's going around simultaneously so bad that none of them can go to work.

Except that the staff would suffer, too.

Much sympathy.
