Win some, lose some

jeriendhalLose: Cannot possible afford to buy Grandma Patton's house, which means staying in our townhouse with the postage stamp yard instead of having a fenced-in half-acre with a swingset for Tom.
Win: Not saddled with horrid mortgage, or lose the benefits of having Thomas in the Howard County school system.
Lose: Tracy's blood test came back negative. So we're going to have to use expensive injectables that aren't covered by our insurance.
Win: The injectables we don't use will be bought back by the pharmacy for 90% of cost.
Lose: I didn't write a damned thing today (except for this journal).
Win: Got the latest issue of Terinu from Peta, even though I hadn't sent my payment to her yet through PayPal. She even sent it *airmail* from Australia. Sheesh!
