I'll be interested to see if they either stick to adapting the books as episodes, or if they use the setting for original screen-plays. Both have their share of problems.
Of course, that's assuming it even happens, since a press release isn't a hard contract and an air date.
I'd assume that they would be producing original episodes mostly. Even assuming a typical British short episode run, and two or three part serials, they'd run through all the original Guard books almost in the first series.
