Have you tried the Windows Movie Maker? Q and I have both used it to edit different videos (primarily videos of Richard in my case and music videos in Q's case) for YouTube.
I've got the latest version of Windows Live Movie Maker on my laptop. Unfortunately it's been "improved" to the point that I don't know how to use the goddamned thing. I was hoping to find something more simple and intuitive to replace it.
