Scene: The offices of LucasArts. The development team are standing at attention in front of their cubical farm. With a WHOOSH the elevator doors open, admitting DARTH VADER.
Team Leader: Lord Vader, we are honored by your presence. Has the Emperor reviewed our development diary?
Vader: Not yet, Commander. I have questions to ask you, before I bring it to his attention.
Team Leader: Q-questions, Lord Vader? But I thought all the information you required was in the...
He shuts up suddenly, fingering the collar of his shirt.
Vader: We do not believe sufficient attention was paid to the development of the game's story line. We have found it... simplistic.
Team Leader: We were tasked with producing... a sequel quickly. Most of the character development... was in the first game.
Vader: While the ambiguity over Starkiller's status being either the original or a clone was intriguing, it was not resolved to Our satisfaction.
Team Leader: The third game...
Vader: A third game does not concern me at this time. It was your task to ensure that a complete gaming experience would be provided. Starkiller's motivations in this sequel went no further than an obsession with rescuing Juno, even ignoring the obvious question of his status when other characters presented it to him.
Team Leader: His determination was a defining trait...
Vader: Too narrowly defined, in Our opinion. We believe this is what also led to the short length of game play, compared to the original.
Team Leader: The downloadable content... HURK!
With a gesture, Vader lifts him off his feet, legs kicking in the air.
Vader: Downloadable content should be a supplement, Commander. If someone purchases just the game and chooses not to buy the DLC, they barely have six hours of play, and only two planets to explore. That is unacceptable.
Team Leader: Dagobah...
Vader: Dagobah was a cut scene, no matter how well scripted! Do not attempt to pass it off for a full gaming experience! But even that would have been forgivable had it not been for the second Kamino sequence.
Team Leader: The final boss fight...
Vader: The final fight was not the issue. The endless platforming sequence prior to it was. I did not appreciate waiting so long for Starkiller to appear.
Vader makes a gesture and the Team Leader's neck suddenly snaps, his body dropping to floor. The rest of the dev team stands rigid, not daring to meet Vader;s eyes.
Vader: You are all assigned now to the Monkey Island development team. See that you do not disappoint me further!
