Since my sales at Amazon have been slow this month (one copy of CotRV so far) and sales at Smashwords are effectively dead, I'm trying the new KDP lending library to see what happens there. While I seriously doubt I'm going to make $7,500 like they suggest, it'll be interesting to see how much I do make compared to direct sales.

Are you keeping in mind that changes at Smashwords need some time to trickle out to the channels they deliver to? If your books are still available at Kobo and whatnot, you might get in trouble, according to this blog post in the worst case be thrown out of the publishing program altogether (though I did not double-check that).
