I am a big Stooges fan. I was looking forward to this movie. After seeing that trailer, the emphasis is on "was". Hopefully it's just a case of the trailer being bad.

I have mixed feelings about this. One: How can you sustain a plot about the three of them beating each other over the head and injuring themselves for over an hour. Two: They didn't have a plot in the old shorts so why should the movie have one?

That being said the "Why is this necessary" falls into play. Answered by "Because it'll make money".
