Technically...
Date: 2012-08-02 04:14 pm (UTC)Some of the fanfic I've written with my wife had some of that, but as I thought back I realized there wasn't any of THAT stuff that I wrote. I don't do sex in general unless it's absolutely crucial to the plot.
Crushing people mentally, having other horrid things happen to them, well, yes, that's part of what you do as an author to the heroes (or sometimes villains) to make them develop.

Date: 2012-08-02 04:34 pm (UTC)I was thinking primarily but not exclusively of AKOTAS as I was filling this out. Arthur, Guenevere and Lancelot have each suffered and/or will suffer kidnapping and/or being held hostage. There have been allusions to rapes of princesses but I don't think any of the victims have had dialog. For question four I had to pick "Other" because you didn't offer "That's how it was in the sourcework I'm retelling." In my fanfiction, prose or cartoon, there isn't any imprisonment or sexual assault that I can think of, though in reviewing Saavik's extended universe backstory (in order to retcon it) I did invent a Vulcan word that the Doctor translated "rape".
Edit Assuming your questions were prompted by arguments over things like the Lara Croft reboot, I should make clear that Saavik's expanded universe backstory involves rape in that it's how she was conceived; it's not an experience that I've ever seen attributed to her.

Date: 2012-08-02 08:10 pm (UTC)And what is that word?
I had a Vulcan (male) character tortured and raped by an evil mirror-universe Janeway. Wasn't entirely my fault.

Date: 2012-08-02 09:04 pm (UTC)When Saavik calls herself prenn tupon farr the Doctor translates it as, "'Child of ... rape'?" It may be that none of the Vulcan words mean rape literally, only in the context of the current phrase, which may be an idiom. Here's the chapter for full context if you're that interested: http://scarfman.livejournal.com/319140.html

Interesting poll, though.
