"But why should she when I rescued her?" Melanie... well, whined was the only way to put it.
Rolas stared her down. "Do you want me to make a list?" he asked in a dangerously soft tone. "Salli. Gets. The planet. She deserves it. In return, you get to keep me."
"That's hardly fair. It wasn't like I was going to lose you." Her voice grew small. "Was I?"
