Celebrated fifteen years at Choice yesterday by my co-workers taking me out to lunch. The event would have been slightly more impressive if A) My anneversary hadn't been back in June (we've been THAT BUSY around the office), or B) the restaurant tried to seat a party of five at a table for four. I was feeling slightly ambivilant about the whole. Fifteen years at any company is impressive I suppose, but I'd orginally taken the job with the anticipation that I'd move on to something better in two or three years. Doing the same thing for over a decade wasn't in the cards. On the other had, at this I don't what else I could do. I simply don't have the time or opportunity to take training in another field. That and I simply don't know what I'm good at. I'm a fair writer, but I'm not going to pretend that is going to pay the bills. And there are bills. Tracy occasionally pushes me to get a masters in Library Science, but I saw what she had to do to get hers, and I doubt I'd be able to pull it off. I squeeked by in college just getting a BA in English. I don't think I've got the tenacity to do a more intensive program.

Arrgh, didn't mean to angst like that.

In other news, I'm finally going the have the time today (because work finally slowed down a bit) to take a look at Peta's outline for the next part of Terinu Link: www.terinu.net Like I'm going to tell her, I think Leeza's dad really needs to get shot by somebody. :)

Work on Damsels and Dragons proceeds. I'm working on the 19th strip right now, and have just gotten around to introducing Tez after showing off Gwen. That ought to do it for the introductions and backstory unti lit's time to bring Lance in. In the meantime I can get to work on some of the standalone story acrcs that Peta has been bouncing off me.

1:15 Update

Leeza's dad doesn't need to shot. He needs to be beaten with a tire iron. Gah!

Well, twelve anyway. They count the three summers I spent working in the Reservatiosn Center back when I was in college. Still depressing though.
