Continued from A Train Trip.

Nef sat back and tried to enjoy the ride, letting her 'morph, Preeti, do her pedicure.

"Preeti, how long until deceleration?" she asked.

The red panda 'morph answered, "It will be in exactly… Now!"

The hypertube car suddenly jolted, as the acceleration chairs spun 180 degrees around and Nef was shoved hard back in her seat by what felt like at least six gravities pressing against her spine.

"Preeti!" she shouted, her morph lost its grip on her chair and was thrown against the front of the car.

Please stand by,the Groupmind announced serenely as the hypercar's passengers let out strangled screams, We apologize for the un- BRZT- ted discom-FZZT. Nef let out a grunt of relief as the deceleration cut off as suddenly as it had started.

The Groupmind's announcement cut off completely as she heard a scree of metal upon metal along the hull of the car. Then the lights suddenly dimmed and the morphs that had been strapped in suddenly convulsed and then froze.

"What happened?" the sariman next to her demanded, struggling against his couch's straps.

Ned watched in fascination as a nail polish brush floated past her face. "I don't know, but we're in freefall."

Are the humans going to have to free themselves and rescue everyone?
