"Tez," Maria said with forced calm, "is there any race in the world that doesn't want to kill you?"

"Well, there's yours. But I don't think that's a fair example." Tez smiled at the small, elven figures in front of them, brandishing spears in their jet black hands.

"And these fellows?"

"If they figure out who I am, I'm going to wish I could die."

"Why's that?"

"A long time ago I lied to the Mushroom Elves to lure them into these caves, then set a spell so they couldn't leave."

"Fed them shit and kept them in dark, eh?"
