(If we presuppose the Fair Folk to be a manifestation of human imagination, tree-of-life will work... and Tez won't give a crap about anything but the welfare of his kids or his species. He will, however, be utterly sane. This is NOT to say "reasonable".)

Fortunately he has no affinity for magic use, otherwise "can of worms" would be the mildest way to describe the situation.
