"It's weird, seeing the Earth with no lights," Jen said, lying on her back, looking up through the Roof. "There's nothing now, even at the beanstalk anchors."
"Light pollution is detrimental to nocturnal animals," Amy, her morph, told her. "We use low-light optics for night work."
"It looked very different, when I was piloting my shuttle. Light was everywhere, keeping back the night."
"That's one way of looking at it." Amy paused. "I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"Taking away your shuttle, making you stay here. I know how you loved flying."
"It's okay." She patted Amy's arm. "It wasn't your fault."
