I think I've got the opening for the next Salli and Ali story worked out. Because I'm sure Salli's parents are going to be perfectly okay with their daughter and Countess's heir marrying a Commoner that has a history of mass murder...

Get the commoners to buy in on it first?

Find some writer to get a version of the story written that pushes it as a heroic romance? Plucky commoner girl kidnapped by pirates, forced to join them, survives and wins the wounded heart of a countess's heir. If they could just somehow find a way to claim she struck at Kev they'd probably have a surge in cubs being named Ali.

I suspect a reporter will be involved in some capacity. First with an annoying paparazzi that makes the mistake of trying to move past Ali to try and get some exclusive photographs at the shuttleport...

Imagine if they knew that their son already married said mass murdering commoner's former employer.

Still, probably an improvement over Salli's last spouse, she refused to gouge out her other eye after all.
